Terry Gene Larsen, Jr.

Terry “Punky” Larsen, Jr. passed away May 12, 2021, unexpectedly with his family constantly by his side at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, MN.  His family fought for him until they were assured there was no fight left to give.

Terry was born January 30th, 1986 to Ricki Michelle Reese and Terry Gene Larsen.  He worked hard for his GED and also recently received many trade work certificates such as utility work machine operator training course certificates, and many different Bobcat operator license certificates.  He also survived the school of hard knocks and the many “Keith Barry mechanic training courses” he endured through his life span, which enabled him to help all of his loved ones with LIFESAVING car repair issues as needed.

He was a very handsome, witty, charming, jokester who everyone loved to be around, and he could instantly put a smile on anybody’s face, even against their will.  Terry loved his children more than anything and greatly appreciated his family and friends so much and would do anything for them.  He enjoyed spending time with the people who loved him, helping people, and just making people smile/laugh.  Loyal, dependable, loving, smart, handsome, empathetic, funny, protective, helpful and STRONG are the best words to describe him, all while he has been trying to stay strong for everyone through so many losses.  His life revolved around taking care of and protecting the people he loved, and anyone who he cared for was truly blessed for this.  Our protector, our helper, our angel on earth has now gone to heaven. We shall be forever grateful for this amazing human, AMEN!

Terry is survived by his amazing three children; Triston, Monte and Lily, sisters; Tishana, Samantha, Korina and Kayla, brothers; Nick and Shane, many aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, and friends who loved him so dearly.

He is proceeded in death by his grandpa; Richard Sam Reese, grandmas; Gina Reese and Sharon Mandery, mother; Ricki Reese, father; Terry Larsen, Sr., father figure; Keith Barry, uncles; Billy Larsen and Kim Larsen, cousin; Kandis Kramel, mother of his sons; Jessica Lohnes, and unfortunately many others.  

Funeral services for Terry will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 18th, 2021 at the Akina Church, 3249 30th Avenue S., Minnespolis, MN.  A visitation will be held prior to services from 3:30 – 6:00 p.m., also at the church.  Pastor Dan Pack will officiate.  Pallbearers for Terry will be Nicholas Larsen, Curtis Silcox, Richard Reese, Chandica Hanuman, Dustin Hanuman, Shane Lenling, Jeremy Roberts, and Joshua Olson.  His honorary pallbearers are Sam Reese, Dallas LeDoux, and Richard Omdahl.  Terry’s cremains will be inurned in the Old Agency Catholic Cemetery, next to his mother, at a later date.
