Thomas William Dudley

Thomas William Dudley, 79, of Bemidji, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on June 17, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

Thomas was born June 17, 1947, in Red Lake, Minnesota, to Esther Klasen and Edward Dudley.  He grew up in Bemidji, Minnesota and Red Lake, Minnesota. He graduated from Red Lake High School.  He loved to play basketball. After high school, in 1966, he went into the United States Army and was deployed to Vietnam. He was in the army for three years.

During his life he worked at several different locations. Redby Sawmill, City of Bemidji, Joe Dudley Logging, CD Haugen Trucking, Red Lake Builders, Richard Dudley Logging, and Leech Lake Sanitation.

Thomas was a dedicated family man. He loved to spend time with his extended families and made sure that everyone was taken care of.  He loved to go hunting and fishing and spend time outdoors. He just always wanted to be in the woods. He had  a great sense of humor and loved to tease his friends and family.

Thomas was preceded in death by his devoted wife Gloria (Allen) Dudley, his parents Esther Klasen and Edward Dudley, brothers Joseph and Richard Dudley, sister-in-law Winona Dudley, niece Deidra Beaulieu, and nephews James Dudley, Jr., and Lukas Dudley

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his daughters Michelle (Zachery) Larsen and Sharon Dudley, grandchildren Bradley (Angie) Dudley, Tyler (Lexi) Larsen, Sylas Lussier and Essence Lussier, his great grandchild Jackson Larsen, brothers David, James, John, and Gerald Dudley and sisters Deborah Beaulieu and Rebecca (Leon) Barrett, along with several nieces and nephews.

An overnight wake will begin at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 23, 2026.  Funeral services will be on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, starting at 11:00 a.m.  All services will be held at the Redby Community Center in Redby, Minnesota.  Willford Strong will officiate the service. Pallbearers helping lay Thomas to rest with be Bradley Dudley, Christopher Dudley, Dave Dudley, Jr., Andrew Robinson, Harrison Dudley, Gary Nelson, Jr. Alternate pallbearer is Dave Dudley, Sr. Honorary Pallbearers will be Donnie Headbird, Rusty Nelson, Al Pemberton, Gary Sargeant, Lyle Wallin, Dave Dudley, Jim Dudley, John Dudley, Gerald Dudley, Margaret Papasodora, Tyler Larsen, Leahna Barrett, Evanelle Barrett, Sylas Lussier, Essence Lussier, and Jackon Larsen. Interment will be held at the Leech Lake Veterans Cemetery in Cass Lake, Minnesota.
