A celebration of life for Wade Douglas Worrall will be held on Saturday June 22, 2024 at 1:00pm at First Lutheran Church in Willow City, ND. Unfortunately, Dad lost his battle with stage 4 melanoma cancer on April 23, 2024, he passed away peacefully surrounded by family, he was 69 years old.
Wade Douglas Worrall was born on October 11, 1954, in Stanley, ND to Fadora “Buzz” Melvin Worrall and Dorothy Jane (Astorg) Worrall. He came into this world as number 7 out of 10 children. Wade would have graduated Rock Lake High School with the class of 1975, but instead successfully completed and received his GED. Wade enlisted in the Marine Corps in December 1976. After his return from the Marine Corps, he met Dyanna Marie Hall and with this union came four wonderful children Colette Warne, Ashley Klaven, April Worrall, and Preston Worrall. They were married on September 17, 1988, and later divorced after spending over 40 years together.
Dad was a legend. If you were privileged to meet this man, we guarantee you will have at least one good story to share or you will catch yourself saying at least one of his many catchy lingo phrases. He was a generous man and would give his last $20 to any hobo or hitchhiker that he came across. Dad always had so much wisdom to share, good or bad, and he would share this wisdom whether or not you wanted to hear it. Dad was our “Gypsy”, he never stayed in one spot for too long and because of this he had many tricks of the trade under his belt, that’s likely where all his wisdom came from. He also completed many miles of traveling, mostly back roads, with his music blaring. Dad always claimed he could “see the writing on the wall” and more times than not, he was correct. Dad loved the outdoors, and we are blessed that he got to spend his last days “out on the farm”. Dad was very proud of his family and always lived by the motto “family is everything” and we are grateful to continue to pass this on for many generations to come. We will forever cherish all the special memories and moments we had with him. A big piece of us left with him, but he will forever be in our hearts watching over all of us each and every day.
Wade is survived by his 5 children Colette (Jasen) Warne, Joshua Bercier, Ashley (Jason) Klaven, April (TJ) Worrall, Preston (Kaylee) Worrall.
