Warren Kyle White, “Makaday Ginew” meaning “Black Eagle” age 43, from Bena, MN, and the Eagle Clan journeyed to the spirit world on Friday, November 10, 2023, from Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, ND. He was born on April 29, 1981, in Cass Lake, MN, the son of Paula White and Raymond Floyd Losh.
Warren grew up in Ryan’s Village and the Bena area. He was a very happy and funny child, always joking and laughing. He attended the Bug-O-Nay-Ge-Shig School. Warren traveled a lot with his mom and stepdad. He loved ricing, bough picking, gathering birch bark, beadwork, and making jewelry. Warren had a love for being in nature, a true woodsman, hunting, fishing, spearing, and trapping. He enjoyed going to pow wows and casinos, playing Halo and watching movies on his Xbox. Warren always considered himself a “Jack of all trades” and loved teaching anyone who was willing to learn. He enjoyed being a Minnesota Wildland Firefighter who fought wildfires on the West Coast. He and his big Blue Dodge Truck were always helping those who went in the ditch get out. Warren worked on his carpenter degree, EMT training, he was a huge asset to Evergreen Industry, and later worked for many years at Deer Trail Resort. Warren was a great father to his stepchildren and taught them well and was an excellent role model to his nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Those greeting Warren in the spirit world are his dad, Raymond Losh; grandparents, Irene and Charles Losh and Mark Cummings.
Those Warren leaves behind to forever cherish his loving memories are his mom, Paula White; stepdad, Lewis Bowstring; spouse, Nicole Drift; son, Robert Gibbs, Jr.; daughter, Rosalie Drift; brother, Carl White; grandma, Clarice White Rockboy; many other family members and friends.
