Wilma Jane (Codner) Beavers

Wilma Jane Beavers passed away May 23, 2024 she was born June 2, 1938 in Pine River to Bill and Emma Viola Codner. She was raised 8 miles east of Backus on Brockway Lake. Her folks rented out cabins and boats. She had 8 sisters and 1 brother. Brother Dick, sisters, Maxine, Marge, Vera, Lois, Betty, Lucy, Shirley, and Janet. She graduated from Backus High School in 1956. She was married to Roland Dean Beavers in 1957 they had a family of 6 children 4 boys and 2 girls. Rollie Jr (Patty), Ken (Shirlee), Carla (Dale), Julie, Kevin (Elizabeth), Darren (Jackie). They lived most of their lives in and around Backus. The children went to Backus High School.

Wilma loved Jesus, her kids, Grand-kids, Great Grandkids, crocheting, reading, and going to her church. She loved to be a caregiver. She worked up to the day before her 80th birthday. She retired to care for her husband at home. She continued to visit the people she cared for up until she could no longer leave her home. Wilma did not accept care for herself up to the end because she had cared so fiercly all her life.

Wilma was preceded in death by her husband Roland, daughter Julie, her parents and all her siblings, her mother and father in law, Brother in law Floyd Beavers, Sister Shirley Beavers.
